Another pioneer has passed away. James Perry Adams died at his residence in this city Sept 9, 1910, after a long illness. He was born to Parker and Salome Adams June 15, 1832 at Williamstown, Vermont. He was one of a family of thirteen children all of whom he survived, save one sister who still lives in Vermont. In 1856 he came here from West Braintree Vt., and has lived in this vicinity ever since. He was united in marriage with Jane Flint, July 20, 1857 and is survived by the widow and the following children; Mrs. Abbie McMahon of Maiden Rock; J. G. Adams of Kinnickinnic, Van Adams of the town of River Falls, and Warren Adams of this city. Another daughter, Mrs. Jennie Forest Frazier died three years ago. Mr. Adams brought to this country the pure bred Morgan stallion, "Red Bird". During his life he was engaged in various pursuits, but during the last forty years he lived on his farm south of this city,. He was know as a man of integrity and industry and was held in high esteem by his acquaintances. The funeral services were held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev.
