EDITH E. ANDERSON, 81, Shell Lake, died on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at Indianhead Medical Center, Shell Lake.
She was born near Gaslyn Lake in Rusk Township, Burnett County, on Nov. 6, 1918, to Carl and Catherine (Goble) Stone, and was raised in Rusk Township.
On Nov. 16, 1939, she married Donald F. Anderson in Shell Lake. They farmed in the town of Barronett. In addition to farming with her husband she clerked at various Shell Lake businesses, including Lind's Variety Store and Cyril's IGA.
She was active in 4-H and held leadership and committee positions at both the local and state levels.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Lorain Donald (Barbara), Del Valle, Texas; three daughters, Lynda (Ronald) Christensen, Shell Lake, Mary Lou (George) Barks, Reva, Va., and Diane (Larry) Bellows, Minneapolis; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Her parents and a brother, Lyle Stone, preceded her in death.
A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, at Shell Lake Cemetery. Rev. Donald J. Gribble will officiate.
Scalzo Funeral Home, Spooner, is handling arrangements.
