Inscription

In memory of
Mr. Ezekiel Adams;
who died Aug'st 7th,
1777.
in ye 71st Year of
his age.

When when sov'reign pow'r ascends ye throne
Then feeble Mortals tumble down;
Thus was I taken in my field,
And suddenly to Death did yield.
