Country Western performer and composer. Born Frank J. Kuczynski of Polish-German ethnicity where polka music was his foundation, and is reflected in his music. He took the surname King after polka musician Wayne King. He formed The Golden West Cowboys in 1937, and re-located to Nashville for a 10 year stint in the Grand Ol' Opry. While moving to Louisville, he and bandmate Redd Stewart co-wrote "Tennessee Waltz". Pee Wee King appeared in 4 films, worked in radio and television in Louisville, and had a six year run of a nationally syndicated "Pee Wee King Show" on ABC. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1974.
