He was an American actor, who had roles in 23 television series and including his uncredited ones, 144 films: "Foreign Correspondent" in 1940, "Here Comes Mr. Jordan" and "Ball of Fire" both in 1941, "The Glass Key" in 1942, "Hello, Frisco, Hello" in 1943, "Cheaper By the Dozen" and "Sunset Blvd." both in 1950, "My Sister Eileen" in 1955 and "Escape From San Quentin" in 1957. He had four uncredited roles at the end of his film career. In 1962 he ended his career with the television series "Shannon." In supporting roles, he often played the role of a law enforcer who had to arrest someone. Born Robert Kenneth Christy, he was a veteran of World War I. For three decades, he was a radio character actor early in his career.
