Screenwriter. Furthman was one of the most prolific and popular screenwriters during Hollywood's Golden Age. He was responsible for some of our most memorable films, such as "Blonde Venus" (1932), "Mutiny on the Bounty" (1935), "To Have and Have Not" (1944), "The Big Sleep" (1946), and over 100 more, up to, and including 1959's "Rio Bravo."
