Canadian politician. A native of Saint-Pascal (Québec), he studied in his hometown, then settled as a farmer in Saint-Octave-de-Métis in 1871. Beginning in 1883, he worked as general agent for Massey Harris & Co, a manufacture of ploughing equipment, this in the county of Matane. He served first as chairman of the Saint-Octave-de-Métis School Board, from 1886 to 1888., then as Mayor of this municipality, from 1894 to 1898. In the by-election of January 11, 1899, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly as the Liberal representative for the district of Matane. He was re-elected without opposition in the elections of 1900 and 1904. Later, he won his election in 1908, 1912 and 1916. He died in function in Saint-Octave-de-Métis.
