Academy Award-winning cinematographer. He won an Oscar for his work on the classic western buddy comedy/adventure "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" (1969). He won a second Oscar for "American Beauty" (1999). His final project was "Road to Perdition" (2002). Other works include: "Searching for Bobby Fischer" (1993), "Tequila Sunrise" (1988), "A Civil Action" (1998) and "Marathon Man" (1976) among others. He was born in Papeete, Tahiti. Hall has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to motion pictures, located at 7060 Hollywood Blvd.
