Historian. Best known for his work "Chancellorsville: Lee's Greatest Battle", a single volume detailing of the May 1863 Battle of Chancellorsville during the American Civil War. His other historical works include "They Met at Gettysburg", "The Fredericksburg Campaign: Drama on the Rappahannock". "From Cedar Mountain to Antietam" and "Sheridan in the Shenandoah Jubal Early's Nemesis". He served in the United States Army and the Pennsylvania National Guard, and was a veteran of World War I and II.
