Queen of Spain. She was the only daughter of Odoardo II, prince of Parma. At the age of twenty-one she became the second wife of Felipe V of Spain, who she quickly obtained complete influence over. Felipe V abdicated in 1724 in favour of his heir Luis I. Seven months later, however, the death of the young king recalled him to the throne. In 1759 her son became Carlos III of Spain.
