Singer, Songwriter. Born in La Plata, Argentina. He rose to fame in the early 1970's and was better known as the composer of his international hit "No soy de aquí ni soy de allá"- "I'm Not From Here Or There". He sang in 8 different languages and performed in over 165 countries. He was named messenger of peace by United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1986. He was killed in Guatemala City while on his way to the airport.
