Premier of Manitoba. The grandson of another Manitoba premier, Rodmond Roblin, "Duff" Roblin served as the 14th premier of Manitoba from 1958 to 1967. During that time he oversaw the construction of the Winnipeg Floodway, also known as "Duff's Ditch". Though he was criticized at the time for the initiative, it has since saved the city of Winnipeg from flooding numerous times, most notably in 1997. He later became a Canadian senator.
