Musician. He was a Scottish folk musician, singer-songwriter, and founding member of the band "Pentangle." He was a leading figure in the British folk music revival of the 1960's. He recorded at least 25 albums. Jansch received two Lifetime Achievement Awards at the BBC Folk Awards. Jansch died at age 67, at a hospice in Hampstead after a long battle with cancer.
