Murder Victim. London City policeman who, with his colleague Charles Tucker, was 'killed in the execution of their duty while endeavouring to apprehend a number of armed burglars in Exchange Buildings, Cutler St.' The burglars were actually Russian anarchists who later held a shoot-out at the 'Siege of Sidney Street' in 1911.
