One of the more touching and humorous epitaphs in the Logan City Cemetery:
Russell was the son of Nephi LARSEN and Carrie Ovida NIELSEN.
Russell served in the Navy during World War II.
His parents are both buried in the cemetery in Hyrum, Utah.
Nephi Larsen (1884 - 1943)
Carrie Ovida Nielsen Larsen (1898 - 1979)
Two things I love most,
Good horses and beautiful
Women, and when I die I hope
They tan this old hide of mine
And make it into a ladies riding
Saddle so I can rest in peace
Between the two things I love

Russell, you and my brother shared the same sort of wit. Never a dull moment. He too was a Sailor. Thank You for Your Service, and Sacrifices, so we may yet, enjoy our Freedom.|
