Born in Mount Carmel on June 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Shalonis) Wojick and stepdaughter of Joseph Lapinski; Jean's natural father died before her birth and after her mother married her stepfather Joseph Lapinski, he raised her as his own daughter.
On October 2, 1954 in Church of Our Lady, Mount Carmel she married the late Francis M. Petruskevich, who preceded her in death on May 18, 1989.
She was a 1951 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School and was employed as a laborer at Paper Magic. She was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, formerly a member of Holy Cross Church; and was manager of the Holy Cross Guinan's Club and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Jean loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren; she was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and Dallas Cowboys fan; she also enjoyed watching QVC and the Food Network.
Survivors include a daughter Patricia Timpko and her husband Charles; two sons, Francis J. Petruskevich and his wife Bernadette; and Dennis Petruskevich all of Mount Carmel; five grandchildren, Charles Timpko and his wife Jen, Tiffany West and her husband Jim, Krista Rae Petruskevich, Robert Marinelli and his wife Karen and Kyle Petruskevich; five great grandchildren, Kayla, Daisy, Mandy, Alexa and Thomas. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Douglas, two brothers, Joseph and Ronald Lapinski.

Szada Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Twp. Viewing will be held Monday from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm in the C.J.
