Frank Lee Barak, 92, of Needville, TX, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, in Sugar Land, TX. He was born January 11, 1921, in Columbus, TX, to Joe F. and Minnie Stefek Barak.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Verna Suchma Barak; daughter, Judith Zwahr; brothers, John Barak and Leeroy Barak; and sister, Margaret Werner.
Frank served in the US Air Force during WWII. He retired from Houston Lighting and Power Co. after 15 years of service.
He is survived by his daughter, Diana Dockal, of Needville, TX; son-in-law, Harley Zwahr, of Needville, TX; grand daughters, Rhonda Firkins and husband, Mike, of Angleton, TX, Nicole Zwahr of Katy, TX, and Holly Dockal of Dallas, TX; great grand daughters, Haley Firkins of Angleton, TX, and Kelsey Firkins Fiorella and husband, Sean, of College Station, TX; sister, Earlene Pollock of Rosenberg, TX; sister-in-law, Dorothy Barak of Pearland, TX; and wife, Gladys Janczak. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM Monday, January 21, 2013, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 3103 School Street, Needville, TX 77461.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 9122 Church Street, Needville, TX 77461, with Rev. Jonathan Murray officiating. Burial will follow in Needville Public Cemetery, Needville, TX 77461.
