"Charles Smith GALIEN - Charles V. Smith, CO, of Galien died Thursday at Lakeland Medical Center, Niles.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pobocik Funeral Home, Connelly-Noble Chapel, Three Oaks, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Chikaming Township; Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association of Michigan, Berrien County Division, P.O. Box 8813, Benton Harbor, Mich. 49022, or to Galien Lions Club.

Mr. Smith was born July 14, 1935, in Muskegon, Mich. He was an automobile mechanic and was Boy Scout master for Troop 614, Benton Harbor. Survivors include: his wife, the former, Virginia Spaulding; a daughter, Star Lomoro of Niles; three sons Robert Smith, Derwin Smith and Aaron Smith, all of Niles; nine grandchildren; two sisters Mary Smith and Kathleen Blivens, both of Benton Harbor."
