Daughter of Henry and Ollie Thompson Griffin. Married J.W. Jenkins who died in 1974 and survived by her husband, Rev. Loyd Watkins. No children.

Inez and J.W. shared a double tombstone and she was laid to rest there.

The following is a portion of a funeral notice published in The Gadsden Times, Saturday, August 23, 2014. Inez Watkins, 83, of Southside, who went to be with her Lord Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Mrs. Watkins was a loving woman, wife and friend. She always greeted people with a smile and a kind word. She loved helping her husband, Loyd, in the Lord's ministry. She was a member of North Weaver Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and Daughters of the Revolution, where she was Chaplain. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ollie Griffin. She is survived by her husband, Loyd Watkins; his children, Ron Watkins and Darrell Watkins, their children and grandchildren; aunt, Frances Jones; several cousins and many friends.

Inez was in the graduating class of 1950 at Southside High School, Etowah County, AL.
