Lorraine loved making porcelain dolls, designing and sewing elaborate dresses for them, and winning “Best of Show”. She also enjoyed traveling with her mother and her sister Mary Peel Anderson. Her favorite travel destination was Hawaii, where her parents had served a mission building the Hawaiian Temple. Lorraine served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in the Salt Lake City, Utah Family History Center from April 6, 1992 - April 29, 1993. She married Henry McDonald on June 13, 1993. Lorraine then served her second mission in the Melbourne, Australia Mission, with Henry for 1 ½ years from 1995 – 1996. In 1997 Lorraine returned to live in Hemet with Henry. She was very adventurous, riding roller coasters and parasailing while in her 70’s.
Lorraine passed away on October 18, 2013 at home with her family, one month from her 90th birthday. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, daughter and friend.
