"Loy was a man who loved his friends dearly. He left us suddenly due to an aneurysm in the brain. He was employed by the Eastern Kentucky University radio station WEKU-FM for 27 years, and has been principal percussionist of the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra. He was married for eight years to the only love of his life Marty Blair. Loy was an only child, and left no children of his own. His circle of friends were many, but his closest associations were those of his beloved Bluegrass DaVinci Fellowship, with whom he communed regularly. He was a lover of classical music, his kitties, the solitude of nature, the starry skies at night, and good food. We will miss you, Loy. Rest in Peace.
