GATES - William Thurman Jackson, 82, retired school bus driver, died Monday of complications from cancer at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton in Covington. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Maranatha Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, with burial in Woodville Cemetery in Haywood County. Brownsville Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Jackson, the husband of Sarah Weaver Jackson, also leaves three daughters, Linda Goad of Ripley, Sharon Halbrook of Coppell, Texas, and Evelyn London of Covington; two brothers, Arthur Jackson of Des Plaines, Ill., and L. E. Jackson of Ripley, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Woodville Cemetery Association.Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN)
