Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Denis and Theresa (Tierney) Dufresne, she had lived in Providence for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Sevigny was a doffer for the former Atlantic Mills for 35 years, and later a waitress at the Howard Johnson's restaurant in Johnston for 20 years before retiring, in 1975. She was a member of the A.T. Cross Bowling League.
She leaves a son, Dennis J. Sevigny of Warwick; a daughter, Dorothy A. Lazzareschi of Johnston; four sisters, Irma Votaloto of Cranston, Millie Dufresne and Marian Georgio, both of Providence, and Pearl French of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held on December 19th from the William T. Forde Funeral Home, 417 Plainfield St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Anthony's Church, Plainfield Street. Burial was in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
