Maxine Custer, 97, of Kennewick, WA passed away April 12, 2015 at the Magdalena Adult Family Home. She was born January 29, 1918 in Boise, ID and grew up and lived in Ontario, OR for 91 years.
She became a teacher’s Aide for the Ontario school district and taught for many years. Maxine worked at Hatches Book Store and also taught ceramic classes in her home.
She is survived by her son, Ron Custer; daughter, Donna Bennett; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Olive Westcott; brother, Ray Westcott; one grandchild and her husband, Gerald Custer.
A graveside service will be held on today, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 2:30pm at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ontario, OR.
