George E. Snyder, Sr., 102, of Lebanon died Friday April 17, 2015 in Spang Crest Manor, Lebanon. He was the husband of the late Gladys E. Beard Snyder who died in 2009.
Born in Lebanon on June 29, 1912, he was the son of the late Samuel F. and Rebecca R. Peiffer Snyder. He was self-employed from 1963-1983 as the owner of George Snyder Welding Supply, Lebanon
George was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lebanon, Rescue Hose Fire Company #4, Lebanon and the Friendship Fire Company. He enjoyed watching game shows and Judge Judy and loved his late dog Fluffy.
Surviving is a daughter Carol L. Warlow with whom he lived, a son George E. Snyder, Jr. of Lebanon, six grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 15 great great grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family and was preceded in death by four brothers Ernest A., Paul J, Richard S., and William M. Snyder and a sister Joyce Snyder Brandt.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. There will be no viewing or visitation. Contributions may be made to his church at 723 Lehman Street, Lebanon, PA 17046 in his memory.
