Rozzie Benise Smith

Rozzie Smith, a lab technician/phlebotomist and lifelong resident of Texas City, Texas suddenly was taken from this earth and went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 20, 2015.

Rozzie was born in Galveston, Texas on March 14, 1973 to Johnie Tryals and Lydia Haynes. She graduated from La Marque High School in 1991.

Rozzie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of Willing Workers Baptist Church. She enjoyed trail rides, zydeco’s, and caring for others. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her.

Rozzie is preceded in death by her parents, Johnie Tryals and Lydia Haynes, grandparents, and other love ones.

Rozzie leaves to cherish her memories with husband, Murphy Smith Jr.; sons, Murquell Smith and his sweet heart Whitnee Wilson and Murphy Smith III; sister, Roshinda Haynes; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many other relatives and friends.

A Public Viewing will be Friday May, 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM Willing Workers Baptist Church 801 29th Street North Texas City, TX 77590 followed by Celebration of Her Life at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX 77563. Pastor James C. Carrington, Jr. is the Celebrant.
