I. Beryle Pearson … 82, formerly of Andy’s Avenue, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Vimy Court, Bible Hill. Born October 7, 1928, in East Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Russell Atkinson and Lloyd (Baxter) Abbott. Beryle was the proprietor of Lyman Street Grocery for many years. In later years, she enjoyed spending time at her cottage at Shortts Lake. Many will remember Beryle for her quick wit and great sense of humour. Beryle is survived by her sons, Bruce (Patti) Pearson, Valley; Harry (Cindy) Pearson, Mark (Lois) Pearson, Bible Hill; grandchildren, Jason, Tanya (Joe), Melanie (John) Buckler, Geoffrey; three great grandchildren; sister, Carol, Hants County. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Edward Pearson; sister, Jean Marr; brothers, Claude and Wallace Atkinson. All are invited to attend a graveside funeral service 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Watson Cemetery, East Prince Street, Reverend David Lutes officiating. If so desired, donations in Beryle’s memory to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
