Mrs. Heavner was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Hendersonville, N.C.
Survivors include one son, Douglas Clark Heavner; three grandchildren, Dr. Richard Heavner, Jeffery Heavner and Lisa Heavner; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Robert C. Laughrey of Ligonier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Clark Heavner.
HEAVNER - There will no public visitation for Julia (Laughrey) Heavner, 87, of 5048 Maplewood Drive, Greenville, S.C., who died May 16 2002. Private memorial services will be held in Cochran Cemetery, Dawson. The family suggests memorial contributions may ve made to the Julia Heavner Memorial at the Roger Huntington Nursing Center, 3113 Memorial Drive, Greer, S.C. 29650.
