"DEATH OF SALLIE RUBY
'Aunt' Sallie Ruby, aged 96 years, died at her home, three miles south of town, Wednesday night at half past ten o'clock. She lived with her nephew, Alvin [sic] Ruby, her nearest kin. She had lived on the place where she died all of her life. She was born in a wagon on the farm about the time her father entered the land from the government. It was very seldom that Miss Ruby left the farm, and in all of her life it is said that she had never ridden on a railroad train nor in an automobile, and had never seen an interurban car.
The funeral will take place from her late home this Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock; burial at Reddick cemetery."
Note: Her death notice says she was buried at Reddick cemetery; however, her tombstone is at Glen Cove.
