MARTIN SCHNETZLER LIVING NEAR ALBANY VICTIM
Martin Schnetzler 70 years of age, residing a few miles west of town was kicked by a horse on Thursday causing his death. The mate to the horse had been taken out of the barn causing it to be restless and as he went into barn to quite it the horse kicked him in the chest with both feet, breaking five ribs. He was taken to the house and Dr. Lemmel was called and set the ribs and made him as comfortable as possible but gave no hope of recovery. The old gentleman appeared to be sleeping quietly, but when the doctor called again in the evening, he found that it was his long sleep, as he has been dead for some time. The funeral was held today – Albany Vindicator.
