McKENZIE, Colleen Colleen McKenzie, 40, of Rocky Hill passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, (November 20, 2004). She was born in Massachusetts on December 22, 1963 where she resided until moving to Rocky Hill in 1995. She is survived by three beautiful daughters, Makayla McKenzie, Rachel McKenzie and Lilly McKenzie; their father, Mark McKenzie and her long time friend and companion, Joseph Torrisi, Jr. all of Rocky Hill. She also leaves behind her mother and father, Thomas and Selma LaVerne of Bellingham, MA; three sisters, Lisa J. LaVerne of Belmont, MA, Michelle R. Cowell of Franklin, MA, Stephanie Richards of Douglas, MA; a fourth sister, Andrea LaVerne was previously deceased in 1977; two brothers, Kenneth W. LaVerne of Mansfield, MA and Fred H. LaVerne of Uxbride, MA. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will he held Monday, November 29, at 11 a.m. at Center Cemetery in Rocky Hill. Friends and family will meet in the parking lot of Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McKenzie Children's Educational Fund, c/o Liberty Bank, 534 Main St., Cromwell, CT 06416.
