Edwis Chabert
Edwis Charles Chabert, 83, a lifelong resident of Cut Off, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007.
Funeral service was held today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.
He is survived by his wife, Louverda Duet Chabert; one son, Bill Chabert Sr. and wife, Merril; three daughters, Patty Adams and husband, Jerry, Mary Smith and husband, Ulous, and Wanda Chighizola; one brother, Elvis Al Chabert; four sisters, Emilia Pitre, Vivian Mayet, Nina Bourg and Dora Curole; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ellia Terrebonne Chabert; two sons, infant John and Don Chabert; and one grandchild, Bonnie Chabert.
He was a veteran of World War II and a retired bus driver with the Lafourche Parish School Board.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
