Robert Arthur Hiles, 51, of Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, at home. He was born March 10, 19363, in Kittanning Hospital, son of the late Rodney A. Hiles and Edith N. (Taylor) Hiles. He was a resident of the area all his life. He enjoyed fishing, train and racetrack displays and camping. He was class president of his graduating class at Lenape Vo-Tech. Survivors include his mother, Edith Hiles, of Sugarcreek Township; sister, Kim (Maycock) Jay, of Kittanning; brother, Scott Hiles (Marcy), of Sugarcreek Township; sons, Heath McCrea, of Sugarcreek Township, and Rodney J. Hiles, of Sugarcreek Township; nephew of Pete Taylor, of Kittanning; and niece, Alisha Maycock, of Kittanning. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney A. Hiles; maternal grandmother, Edith Taylor; maternal grandfather, Robert Taylor; paternal grandmother, Nettie Hiles; paternal grandfather, Arthur Hiles; and niece, Britany Maycock. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Cowansville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, immediately following the viewing at the funeral home with Dr. Randall Forrester, officiating. Committal will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
