Thomas O. Morgan, Jr. was born in Paxton, Nebraska on May 5, 1934 to Thomas "Otto" Morgan, Sr. and Bessie "Bess" Morgan. In 1942, the family moved to Olympia, Washington where Tom graduated from Olympia High School in 1953. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Marcia Pierson, in 1955, they moved to White Sands Proving Grounds, New Mexico where he completed his service with the U.S. Army. After the Army, they moved to Seattle in 1956 where Tom began work for Boeing on the Bomarc Missile Program, raising three sons near idyllic Angle Lake. They both retired from Boeing in 1992, Tom after 35 years in various management positions, and Marcy after 15. Tom and Marcy enjoyed travel, and in 1987, they purchased shared ownership of a villa overlooking the Caribbean in Cancun, Mexico, where they returned annually for 20 years. They also took numerous trips throughout Mexico, Central America, the Hawaiian Islands, and Alaska. They moved back to Olympia in 2000 where they lived until 2013 when they moved to Boise, Idaho to be near their oldest son. Tom passed away in Boise on March 18, 2015. His remains will be buried with military honors in Tahoma National Cemetery. He has requested there be no services.
