Leon Dixon Clark, 85, of Martinsville, died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at his home.
He was born on September 9, 1929 to Bennie A. Clark and Hattie Fain Clark. He was an contractor with Johnny Guilliams Construction Company and a member of Collinsville Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Danny Leon Clark and his brother, Curtis Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Clark of the home, three daughters, Gail Blue and her husband Bruce of Carthage, NC, Joan Akers Morrison and husband Harold of Martinsville and Sherry Purdy of Martinsville, two sisters, Louise Ayers of Spencer and Charlotte Grindstaff of Martinsville, one brother, Bobby Clark of Bassett and four grandchildren, Donny Thompson, Dana Ayers, Daniel Akers and Brian Blue, nine great-grandchildren, Christina, Ryan, Autumn, Amber, Zoey, Lee, Alex, Kalilyn and Thomas and great-great-grandchild, Peyton.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Collinsville Baptist Church
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM at
Collinsville Baptist Church with Rev. Tracy Freeman. Interment will follow at Blackberry Baptist Church Cemetery, Bassett, Virginia.
