James L."Jim"Sinks, 65, of rural Bayard, died June 28, 2015, at his home. A graveside service will be held July 2 at Bayard Cemetery. Jim was born on April 12, 1950, in Scottsbluff to Charlie and Velma (Howard) Sinks. He attended school at McGrew and Bayard, graduating from Bayard High School.He started his own custom hay swathering business. Jim was united into marriage to Twilla Bowers on May 29, 1969, at Scottsbluff. They made their home in Bayard, where they raised their three sons. Jim enjoyed skeet shooting, attending rodeos, modified tractor pulling, and racing his Dodge Swinger.He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson’s Punky and Baby Jimmy; daughter-in-law Terri Sinks; and great-grandson Zeek.
