Mrs. Carter, 92, of Bowling Green died at the Alpha House in Ashland. The daughter of J. Leslie and Lula Barden, she was the widow of William D. "Buck" Carter. She retired after 28 years as the bookkeeper for the Caroline County Public School. Preceding her in death was her granddaughter, Catherine Christine Carter. Survivors included her three sons and their spouses, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, a sister, and several nieces and nephews. A service was scheduled for 27 Jul 2016 in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. Burial was to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Richmond Chapter, 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130, Richmond, VA. 23060.
