June 23, 1932-June 21, 2014 Donald R. Bargiband, age 81, of Moody, AL passed away on June 21, 2014. He retired from the U.S. Army after 28 years of service as a Sgt. Major. He later became Director of Patient Services at UAB for 13 years. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis Bargiband; daughters, Lisa Lynn and Terri Kolaczek (Joe); son, Daryl Bargiband (Valtinia); grandchildren: Jennifer Cole (Joey), Naomi Voss (Michael), Daniel Coleman and Rachel Coleman and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home from 5pm until 7pm on Tuesday, June 24th; the funeral service will follow at 7pm. Burial will take place at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville at 3pm on Friday, June 27th. The family would like to say "Thank you" to the staff at Alacare Hospice and a special "Thank you" to Rusty, Alesia, and Jackie for their excellent care for Mr. Bargiband. Jefferson Memorial in Trussville is directing.
