Born April 30, 1910, at Pine Bluff, he was the son of the late James "Jakes" Marcus and Sarah Rosenberg Marcus.
He was reared and educated in Pine Bluff. He worked in retail clothing all of his adult life, working for Barre Department Store in Pine Bluff for several
years before going to Baim's Department Store where he worked for 38 years before retiring as manager of the men's department.
He was a member of the Temple Anshe Emeth in Pine Bluff and was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sue Willshire Marcus, who died in 1991.
He is survived by a sister, Adelle Cicero of Little Rock, and caregivers Robert and Sandy Kortenber, both of Hot Springs.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Jewish Cemetery with Rabbi Eugene Levy officiating. Arrangements by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
