Marjorie Evelyn Miller, age 88, of Knoxville, Iowa passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014, at her home in Knoxville.

Marjorie was born April 1, 1926 in Adams County near Carbon, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Lucy(Rodman)McKee. Marjorie went to country school at Carbon and then graduated from Corning High School, Class of 1943.

After high school Marjorie helped with the WWII war effort by working in Chicago and also Oregon . After she moved to Knoxville she worked for many years at the overall factory. While she worked and also raised her family,, Marjorie also obtained an accounting certificate and for over 15 years she was an accountant for car dealerships around the Knoxville area.

On September of 1948 Marjorie and Allan Willett Miller were united in marriage. They shared thirty years of marriage and blessed with three sons, Terry, Anthony and Mike before Allan died in 1978, at the age of 56.

Marjorie was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Knoxville and she enjoyed crocheting and for many years pottery. She also travelled and camped throughout her life. She enjoyed camping with her husband and after his death she camped for many years with her family.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Anthony "Tony" Miller & his wife Joleen of Knoxville and Mike Miller of Des Moines; a daughter-in-law, Marna Miller of Urbandale; four grandchildren, Shawn Miller, Tina Miller, David(Lydia)Miller and C.J.(Cassie)Miller; and four great grandchildren. Marjorie is also survived by her brother, Bob McKee of Omaha, Nebraska and her sister, Diane(Tony)Dock of Savage, Minnesota. She was preceded by her parents, Robert and Lucy McKee; her husband, Allan Miller and her son, Terry Miller.

Visitation for Marjorie will be held from 10 am Tuesday, October 14th, at the Oakland Cemetery in the Quincy Township of Adams County, Iowa. A memorial for Marjorie will be established by the family at a later date.
