McIntyre, Hiram Junior "Chip" Hiram Junior McIntyre "Chip", age 87, left his earthly world to join his heavenly family on November 19, 2014. He died peacefully holding the hand of the love of his life and bride of 67 years, Catherine Kennedy McIntyre "Kit". Chip served with the US Navy, was a 62 year member of St. John Vianney parish and retired from the Railroad. Over the years he coached youth sports, was an avid golfer, camper and fisherman. His favorite role, however, was father, grandfather and great grandfather. Because of his large and loving family, he considered himself a rich man. Chip leaves behind what he felt was his greatest life achievement: his legacy of integrity, family and love. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Ray Fauble. He will be missed but lovingly remembered by his children, Kathleen McIntyre Fauble, Kevin and Nancy McIntyre, Christopher and Carol McIntyre, Kenneth and Nancy McIntyre, Elizabeth McIntyre and Stephen Watkins; and grandchildren, Mark and Shannon Fauble, Tara Fauble-Pierce, Erin and Michael Velzen, Shannon and Ben Maddox, Andrea and Charles Prins, Nicky and Dana Tew, Kate and Corey Swiftney, and Alex McIntyre. Last but most importantly, those he considered his legacy, the great-grandchildren, Brendan and Maggie Fauble, Rayanne Pierce, Aaron and Joni Velzen, Allison, Andrea, Alex, Erica, Zachary and Marissa Velzen, Ellen and Caroline Maddox, Kennedy, Charlotte, Alyah and Garrett Hiram Prins, Hannah Tew, Breckin, Kenzie and Declan Swiftney. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Chip left his family with a multitude of memories. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 AM at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Fr. Michael Alber presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming on Sunday from 4-6 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart of West Michigan United Way. Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com.
