"Mrs. Anna L. DeMeulemeester, widow of Kamiel DeMeulemeester, passed away Tuesday noon, June 13, 1972 at St. Luke's Hospital. Age 77 years. Anna L. Teirlynck was born June 7, 1895 in Belgium, and was married there to Mr. DeMeulemeester in 1920. Shortly after they moved to America, coming directly to Merrill, MI. They engaged in farming there until 1924, when they moved to Saginaw. Mr. DeMeulemeester passed away in 1960. She was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church, it's Altar Society, and the League of Catholic Women. Surviving are one daughter and one son, Mrs. Otto (Margaret) Steinpress; and Julius J. DeMeulemeester, both of Saginaw; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Leona Desmet, living in Belgium; several nieces; and nephews.
Funeral service will take place 9 a.m. Thursday at the Case Chapel, 409 Adams St., 9:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Henry DuRussel will officiate, with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery. friends may call at the chapel after 4 p.m. Wednesday where they will meet with relatives 7:30 p.m. Wednesday to say the Rosary."
