Age 78, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015. He was born on September 1, 1936 in Fowler, MI the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Tannery) Rockey. Mr. Rockey was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo. He married Judith Burns on October 10, 1959 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston. Harold loved spending time with family, camping, hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking, walking in the woods to look at the trees, farming, including riding his tractor, traveling, playing cards with friends, and going to the casino. He also enjoyed following the Detroit Tigers, building birdhouses and watching the birds, and telling a good joke.

Preceding him in death were his parents; siblings, Louis, Margaret, Dorothy, John, Raymond, Robert, Julia Marie and Leo; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Zona Burns; in-laws, Robert Burns Jr., Bill Burns, and Patricia Gallagher. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Judith Rockey; children, Debra Rockey of Hubbardston, David (Christine) Rockey of Lyons, Deanne (Mark) Brochu of Potterville, and Colleen (Brad) Marshall of Grand Ledge; "special son" Eric Gallagher; grandchildren, Cory Tate, Ashley Thelen, Joel Rockey, Taylor Kapustka, Ethan Rockey, and Peyton Rockey; great grandchildren, Mya Thelen and Ainsley Kapustka; sister, Joan Rockey of Congress, AZ; in-laws, Mary (Fred) Esch, Nancy (David) Speckin, Chris (Bill) Thurston, and Phil (Nancy) Burns; many nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo with Rev. Charlon O. Mason presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Pewamo, with Military Honors provided by the Fowler Westphalia Pewamo V.F.W. Post #3733. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. Rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and a Scriptural Wake Service held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland.
