Daughter of Edward Thomas Hackett and Ann Elizabeth Bell, wife of Norman Smith Latham and mother of Elizabeth Bell Latham (married Ralph Earl Cushman, married Farnham Lawrence Hanks).

Marriage - Latham-Hackett- St. Peter's Episcopal Church, on State street, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Thursday afternoon. The bride was Miss Linda Howell Hackett and the groom was Mr. Norman S. Latham. The bridal party arrived at the church at 2 o'clock and was met at the chancel by the rector, the Rev. Dr. Lindsay Parker. The bride was attired in a handsome travelling dress of gray silk, with bonnet to match. Mr. Alexander K. Hackett gave the bride away at the altar, and Mr. Edward W. Bok acted as best man. After the ceremony an effective innovation was made by the mother of the bride meeting her as she reached the last step of the altar and kissing her newly married daughter. It proved a signal to the entire audience, Mr. and Mrs. Latham then passing down the aisle of the church amid a shower of congratulation on all sides. The effect was pretty and informal. The ushers were Messrs. C.J. Howell, Clifford S. Kelsey, John W. Blakey, and Everett J. Esselstyn. The church was almost entirely filled, among those being Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Latham, the Misses Latham, Mrs. A. Elizabeth Hackett, Mrs. Orlando S. Bennett, Mr. and Mrs. A.K. Hackett and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Slade, Mr. and Mrs. G.L. Ogilvie, Mrs. Frances Howell, Miss Frances V. Bell, Mr. and Mrs. Frank James, the Misses Bartlett, Mr. and Mrs. F. Barlow, Miss Marie Christine Halsey, Mr. and Mrs. J. Howell, Dr. and Mrs. S.G. Cook, Mr. and Mrs. M. Hackett, Miss Clara M. Paul, Miss Victoria Paul, Mrs. S.G. Bok, Dr. and Mrs. H.A. Bunker, Miss Emily A. Hackett, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Hackett and others. Mr. and Mrs. Latham will reside in Brooklyn after returning from a wedding trip to Niagara Falls and through the Connecticut Valley.
