Lillian R. Stevens, 95, County Route 2, Orwell, died Friday evening in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, where she had been a patient for several days.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in the spring.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Black River Rescue Squad, the Northern Oswego County Ambulance Corps or the Orwell Union Church.
Surviving are a son, Cyrus, Utica; a daughter, Ruth Garvin, Watertown; a sister, Julia Hawkens, Natural Bridge, 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A son, Fred Stevens, died in 1984. Another son, John H. Stevens, died in 1988.
She was born Dec. 14, 1896, on Wellesley Island, a daughter of John and Julia Harden Bartlett. She attended Wellesley Island, Natural Bridge and Diana schools, and had lived in Orwell since 1920.
She married Harold L. Stevens on April 27, 1920. He died in 1951.
She was a member of the Orwell Union Church and of the Lake Ontario Chapter 126, Order of the Eastern Star, Sandy Creek.

Mrs. Stevens was born on Wellesley Island and attended Wellesley Island, Natural Bridge and Diana Schools. She lived in Orwell since 1920.

Her husband, Harold Stevens, died in 1951.

She was a member of Orwell Union Church.

She was a member of Lake Ontario Chapter No. 126 Order of the Eastern Star, Sandy Creek.

Surviving are a son, Cyrus Stevens of Utica; a daughter, Ruth Garvin of Watertown; a sister, Julia Hawkens of Natural Bridge; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
