Mrs. Margaret Harrill Moore, 85, of Frederick, formerly of Ijamsville, died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Earnest Moore. They would have celebrated their 70th anniversary on July 17.

Born July 1, 1926 in Lincolnton, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Vera Michael Harrill.

She was a longtime member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Ijamsville. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Moore was thought of by many as "mom". She was a very sweet lady who was loved by all.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lavon "Bunny" Coxen of Ijamsville; two grandsons, Craig Coxen of Annapolis, and Sean Coxen and wife, Rajani of Greenbelt; two great-grandchildren, Ian Coxen and Anna Coxen, both of Gaithersburg; and two brothers, R. Joseph Harrill of Venice, Fla. and John Harrill of Phoenix, Ariz.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 8 at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 9 from the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Ken Fell.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
