Died 11 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 1986, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 66, a native of Batchelor and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Thurman-Armstrong Mortuary, 9348 Scenic Hwy., at Rosenwald Road, 1 to 4 p.m. Friday. Religious services at New Sunlight Baptist Church, 1777 American St., 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. J. R. Williams. Dismissal at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by three daughters, Alice S. Whitmore, Betty and Denise Stewart, all of Baton Rouge; three sons, James and John Stewart, Baton Rouge, and Reggie Stewart, Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Rosa Lee Harry, Grosse Tete; a brother, Junius Carr, New Roads; a son-in-law, Charles Whitmore, Baton Rouge; three daughters-in-law, Joslyn and Gloria Stewart, Baton Rouge, and Beverly Stewart, Atlanta, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Willie Harry Sr., Grosse Tete; a sister-in-law, Delores Carr, New Roads; an uncle, Harry Carr, Ferriday; eight grandchildren; numerous godchildren; nieces; nephews, including Ronald Williams, Baton Rouge; cousins; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, husband, a brother, and two sisters.
