Mrs. Mayme G. Abell, 89, of 2017 Marlin Ave. died at 6:10 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Hospital.
Mrs. Abell was born in Pawnee, daughter of the late John M. and Martha E. Kearney Sheety. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, St. Joseph Guild and the Catholic Daughter of America. Preceding her in death. Were her husband, Clarence, in 1971; one son; one great-granddaughter; five brothers and three sisters. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James (Kathryn) O'Brien of Decatur, Geneva Avell of Springfield, Mrs. Carl (Thelma) Goebel of Harvel; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Kathryn Carney of Springfield.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. John Corredato, CSV, officiating Burial will be in St. Maurice Cemetery, Morrisonville.
Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
