Miss Elizabeth Smythe was born about 1879, the daughter of Patrick Smythe and Nora (Hogan) Smythe (both parents born in Ireland). She was a sister of Miss Kate Smythe (ca 1857-1939) and Miss Annie Smythe (ca 1867-1939), who were also buried in Calvary Cemetery.
She was living at Little Sisters of the Poor Home at 1705 Weston Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee, and was 60 years old when she died on October 10, 1939. Burial was the next day in Calvary Cemetery, Nashville.
