Obituary for Jan Marie Singletary

Funeral services for Jan Marie Singletary of Rochelle will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. The committal service will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service Friday beginning at 12:30 p.m. Jan, 62, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

She was born in Arlington, VA to the late James Edward Mixon and Jewell Anne Sutton Mixon. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Mixon. Jan was an RN (RET) and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was an active member of Vienna Church of God.

Jan is survived by her husband of 26 years, David Gilbert Singletary of Rochelle; a son and his wife, Bryant and Lenora Nobles of Omaha; a daughter and her husband, Connie and Andrew Donaldson of Cordele; six grandchildren, Anna Young, Zoe Bell, Noah Jackson, Benji Horton, Jackson Tolbert and Olivia Peyton Donaldson.
